Get Ready to Ride Your Motorcycle with the Safety of an Insurance Policy!
With gas prices rising once again, one of the most efficient ways to get around is by motorcycle. As the weather has already started warming up, we will definitely see more motorcyclists on our roads in Texas. But if you plan to actively ride yours in the spring and summer or plan on purchasing one, consider securing an insurance policy with our insurance agency in McAllen!
A Few Things First
First and foremost, at Shepard Walton King, we always recommend that you ride with a helmet and all protective gear. By law, all riders under 21 are required to wear a helmet, and this includes passengers as well. Riders over 21 may ride without a helmet but only if they have completed a state-certified safety course.
A License to Ride
Getting your motorcycle license the first time can be a challenge, but it’s not impossible. If you are a first-time rider, there are a few steps that include:
- A motorcycle safety test.
- A written test on signs and rules of the road.
- Completing a Teen Driver Education Course for riders between 15 and 17 years of age.
- Completing an Adult Driver Education Course for riders between 18 and 24 years of age.
Now that you know the important side of securing a motorcycle license, let’s talk about why insurance is a must-have. Getting motorcycle insurance in McAllen doesn’t have to be hard, that’s why our agents are here to help! A policy can provide you with peace of mind in knowing that, should you be involved in a wreck, the costs for repairs or a replacement will be handled through your insurance provider.
Ride Responsibly with Insurance Today!
Taking the iron horse out on the open road can be amazing, but just make sure you’re ready to do so. Shepard Walton King can help find an insurance policy that’s right for you. Contact our insurance agency in McAllen so we can help you get ready to ride responsibly!
